Samar's Historic Centre on Foot: From the Holy Trinity Cathedral to the Humpback Bridge

A walking tour of Samar's main sights. It starts at the nine-domed Holy Trinity Cathedral and the 300th-anniversary memorial stone on Cathedral Square. From there it follows Shevchenka Street with its merchant houses, past the Shevchenko monument, to the Petro Kalnyshevsky local history museum. Next door, in Heroes Square park, stands the memorial to the fallen heroes of the ATO/JFO. After that, visit the Eternal Glory memorial, cross Heroes Square with its light-and-music fountain and see the MiG-21 jet on its pedestal. The walk ends at the Metalurh Palace of Culture, in Suchkov Park and on the Humpback Bridge, with a panoramic view of the Samara River.
