An unusual monument in Zhovti Vody is a genuine GAZ-AA truck, known as the 'polutorka', built in 1940. According to its heritage record, the vehicle travelled the front-line roads of the Second World War and ended its journey in Berlin. After the war it returned to peaceful work and later became a monument next to the motor depot of the Eastern Mining and Processing Plant (SkhidGZK). The inscription on its concrete pedestal honours it both as a warrior and as a worker. The turquoise truck among spruces and broadleaf trees attracts vintage-vehicle fans and children and looks great in photos. It is listed among the historical monuments of Zhovti Vody.
