The monument 'To the Heroes of the Ukrainian Liberation War of 1648–1654' is the true emblem of Zhovti Vody. It was unveiled in Glory Park in the early 1990s to honour the first major victory of Bohdan Khmelnytsky's Cossack army over the Polish forces in May 1648. Three horsemen stand on top of a green mound: Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky and his comrades Ivan Bohun and Maksym Kryvonis. They seem to scan the steppe from a lookout post. The whole composition is 11.5 metres high, and the bronze figures are about 6 metres tall. The authors are the Kyiv sculptors A. Bilostotskyi and O. Suprun and the architect V. Hnezdilov. The monument is a listed heritage site. Anniversary ceremonies for the battle are held here. It is the city's most popular photo spot.
