Про локацію
A small but meaningful landmark on Cathedral Square, to the left of the Holy Trinity Cathedral. It is a rough block of red granite bearing two polished granite plaques in metal frames. The inscription on the western side recalls 300 years since the founding of the Ust-Samara Bohorodytska fortress in 1688 and the settlement of the Samara River region. The eastern plaque explains that the district town of Novomoskovsk was located in the Bohorodytska fortress in 1786–1794 and in 1794 was moved to the Cossack settlement of Novoselytsia, today's Samar. The stone was set up for the 1988 anniversary and declared a historical monument in 1990. It fits nicely into a photo together with the cathedral and the square's flower beds.
