The Dyven Khmelnytskyi Regional Academic Puppet Theatre is based in the historic Marants House at 46 Proskurivska, the pedestrian street in the heart of the city. It was founded in 1970 by Serhii Yefremov, and its first premiere, The Rebellious Jungle, took place on 3 November 1970. At first the troupe had only two rooms in the regional philharmonic building, but it later grew into one of the country's notable puppet theatres with academic status. The repertoire includes fairy tales for the youngest, shows for schoolchildren and productions for adults. It is a great option for family leisure during a walk around the centre, and tickets can be bought online.
