Hrabarka Reserves and the Source of the Southern Bug

A nature car route through the northern part of the community. From Volochysk Lake head east along the Hrabarka floodplain: the Hrabarka reserve near Korystova, the Ivanivskyi reserve between Balkivtsi and Ivanivtsi, and the largest, the nationally protected Manachyn reserve with a peat bog where herons nest. The road then climbs the Avratyn Upland to the stele at the source of the Southern Bug near Kholodets, and on the way back stop at the Ozhyhivske tract with wild orchids. Best in spring and early summer; bring binoculars and waterproof shoes and stay on paths.
