The memorial to the military units that liberated the Volochysk district from the Nazi occupiers was erected in 1984 on Lysenka Street. Its centrepiece is a heavy ISU-152 self-propelled gun on a pedestal, one of the most striking military history monuments in town. Since 1987 it has been a historical monument of local significance. It stands near the town park and Yunist Stadium, so it is easy to see during a walk around the centre. The massive combat vehicle attracts children and military vehicle enthusiasts, and the memorial is a place to honour fallen soldiers.
