Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Kopachivka

The masonry Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Kopachivka was built in 1911 and is listed among the local architectural monuments of the former Volochysk district. The stone church is so important to the village that its symbols, the key and sword of Saints Peter and Paul on a masonry shield, appear on Kopachivka's coat of arms. The church stands amid greenery on the northern side of the village, and there is also a memorial to local servicemen in the village centre. It is a fine example of early 20th-century rural sacred architecture and is easy to visit on the way from Volochysk, as the village lies just a few kilometres east of the town.
