Про локацію
Kanivka is an old village on the high left bank of the Zbruch, first mentioned in documents in 1629. On 24 January 1944 the Nazi occupiers burned the village and shot some of its residents. In memory of this tragedy, a memorial to the burned village, made by Kyiv artists, was erected in the village centre in 1986; it is a historical monument of local significance. The modest memorial recalls the price of war for the Podillian villages along the Zbruch. Kanivka offers wide views of the river valley and the Ternopil bank, so a visit can be combined with a walk along the Zbruch slopes and a trip to neighbouring Tarnoruda.
