St. Michael's Church (1898)

The church every traveller passing through Dunaivtsi notices first is St. Michael's, built in 1898 in the Russian Synodal style. It was once the parish church of the village of Mohylivka, which over time merged with the town, so today the church stands in the south-western part of Dunaivtsi, near the Ternava valley. The building is listed as an architectural monument. Its distinctive silhouette is clearly visible from the surrounding streets and the road, so it is worth including in a walking tour of the town together with the former Capuchin monastery, the Lutheran church and the Krasiński Palace, all within a short walk. It is an active church, so during services please observe the usual etiquette and dress appropriately.
