The bust of Vladyslav Zaremba in central Dunaivtsi, unveiled in 1999, reminds visitors that the town is the birthplace of one of the creators of 19th-century Ukrainian piano and vocal classics. Zaremba was born in Dunaivtsi in 1833, studied music in Kamianets-Podilskyi and later worked and taught in Kyiv. His legacy includes many pieces set to poems by Taras Shevchenko and arrangements of Ukrainian folk songs; he made the piano arrangements of 'Dyvlius ya na nebo', 'Reve ta stohne Dnipr shyrokyi', 'De ty brodysh, moia dole' and 'Povii, vitre, na Vkrainu', which many people still consider purely folk songs. The monument is listed as a monument of monumental art; the local history museum and Krasiński Palace are nearby.
