Про локацію
The oldest surviving building in Dunaivtsi is the former Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Capuchin monastery. The friary was founded in 1751 with the support of the Potocki family; at first it was wooden, and the masonry church was completed in 1790. After the Polish uprising of 1830–1831 the Russian authorities closed the monastery, in 1833 the church was reconsecrated as an Orthodox church, and it was later remodelled in the style of imperial church architecture. Next to it stands the former cell block, which once housed a parish school; part of the monastery quadrangle was demolished in the 1930s. Many legends tell of underground passages reaching as far as Kamianets, but in reality only short cellars are known beneath the buildings. Today it is an active Orthodox church, listed as an architectural monument of 1751–1790.
