The Cathedral of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul is the main church of the Buchach Eparchy of the UGCC and a modern landmark of Chortkiv. Its cornerstone was laid on 19 March 1992, and the construction was supported by Greek Catholic communities of the town and district. The architect is Serhii Hora. The church is built in the shape of a trident: 51 m high and 40 m in diameter. Its architecture blends the Byzantine basilica tradition with modern ideas, so the cathedral looks both solemn and contemporary. The spacious interior and imposing building attract pilgrims and visitors who enjoy modern sacred architecture.
