Про локацію
A 120-hectare forest reserve south of the village of Trybukhivka, in the Studenytsia river basin. It was protected in 1990 to preserve an oak and hornbeam forest with birch, ash, pine and spruce, and the woodland plays an important role in protecting the surrounding slopes from soil erosion. In spring the ground layer is dominated by wood anemone, with corydalis, toothworts and gagea in bloom. Besides its nature, it is also a place of memory: on 5 June 1944 a UPA unit commanded by the sotnyk 'Shuliak' fought NKVD troops in this forest, and according to archival documents 67 insurgents were killed. The quiet woods near Trybukhivka are good for peaceful walks, spotting spring flowers and remembering the history of the region.
