Church of Christ the King of the Universe

The Church of Christ the King of the Universe is the main Roman Catholic church of Khmelnytskyi, located at 55 Myru Avenue. After the parish was revived, the city authorities allowed it to buy a plot in 1990, and by January 1991 a temporary chapel stood here. At the same time the design of a large church sized for the needs of the regional centre began; it was built in 1992–1995. The spacious modern building stands out among the residential blocks of the avenue. On the parish grounds is the House of Padre Pio, where sisters of the Daughters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary care for orphaned children.
