Davydkivtsi Forest Reserve

The Davydkivtsi Reserve is a local forest reserve of 506 hectares near the village of Davydkivtsi, just a few kilometres east of Khmelnytskyi. It was designated by a decision of the regional council in 1994 to preserve a woodland dominated by highly productive stands of pedunculate oak. The area is managed by the state enterprise Khmelnytske Forestry and Hunting. The reserve offers the quiet of an old oak forest, especially beautiful in spring when the young leaves unfold and in autumn when the oaks turn gold and copper. It is a good place for hiking and getting to know the typical nature of Podillia without travelling far.
