Guided Tour of the Yu. Pryhozhin Zhovti Vody History Museum

A museum guide leads visitors through the ten halls of the two-storey building on Svobody Boulevard. The story begins with the Khmelnytsky era and the 1648 Battle of Zhovti Vody, where you can see a model of a Cossack 'chaika' boat. It continues with the rise of iron ore mining in the late 19th century, the Second World War, the town's post-war growth as a centre of the uranium industry, and an exhibition on the Russian-Ukrainian war. Highlights include 19th-20th century clocks collected by the museum's founder Yukhym Pryhozhin, as well as collections of minerals, coins and paintings. Tours are offered to individual visitors and groups; it is best to agree on the format and time in advance.
