Walking Tour 'In Search of Ploskyriv Castle'

A walking route by the Tourist Information Centre along the Southern Bug, devoted to little-known pages in the history of old Proskuriv and its riverside quarters. Strolling along the embankment, participants learn how Mykhailo Chekman Park came about, where Ploskyriv castle may have stood, how the river crossing was arranged, why the riverside blocks were nicknamed the 'goose quarters' and how Proskuriv became one of Europe's leading egg and poultry trading centres. The group meets at the steps down to the Ocheret cafe on the embankment; advance registration is required.
