Walking Tour of Proskurivska Street

A walk along the city's main pedestrian street, run by the Khmelnytskyi Tourist Information Centre for residents and visitors. Proskurivska is the heart of old Proskuriv: tenement houses, pharmacies and trading houses from the late 19th and early 20th centuries survive here, while modern cafes and the fountain by Dytiachyi Svit make it a favourite place to stroll. The guide tells the story of the downtown area, the owners of its houses and the changes the street saw in Soviet times and in independent Ukraine. The group meets near the Dytiachyi Svit shopping centre; the tour lasts about 1-1.5 hours and requires prior phone registration.
