Gethsemane Garden Tract near Kazbeky

The above-ground area of the former monastic estate near Kazbeky, about 55 hectares. According to descriptions it held the Gethsemane apple orchard, with some old trees still surviving, plus chapels, farm buildings, a bathhouse and a deep well. The terrain consists of ravines and gullies of the Podillia Upland, making it a fine stretch of steppe scenery far from city noise. A chapel survives on the former Paradise Garden lands. It suits an unhurried walk and golden-hour photos; wear closed shoes as paths are uneven, and do not enter the tunnels without a guide.
