Dunaivtsi community celebrates its 11th anniversary

On 8 August 2026, Dunaivtsi community marked 11 years since its formation. Heads of neighbouring communities, representatives of twin towns, partners and Heroes of Ukraine came to the celebration.

The day began with laying flowers at the Memorial of Glory, after which the festivities moved to the central square of Dunaivtsi. The village districts presented the 'Community Abundance Basket' and set up their own stalls, treating guests to homemade delicacies, fragrant bread, pies and honey.

During the official part, Mayor Velina Zaiats thanked the military and everyone who supports them. The community handed a military unit equipment bought with jointly raised funds, and residents who shape the region's history through their work and initiative received awards.

One of the most moving moments was the 'Generations Capsule'. Members of the Council of Elders, young people and children together recorded a message to future residents about love for their native land, remembrance of the heroes and faith in a peaceful future.

The day ended with a big concert. Soloists, vocal and dance groups of the community performed in Ukrainian costumes and embroidered shirts, singing both folk songs and modern pieces.
