Darvayka Mountain

A mountain about 1,500 m high above Kolochava, within Synevyr National Nature Park. A popular day route (about 18 km round trip, green markings) leads from the village centre through pastures and forest to the Darvayka glade. From the open upper sections you can see the Pishkonia ridge and Mount Strymba, and the views are especially colourful in autumn. The best time to go is early October, when the forest turns golden. The route requires fitness, good footwear, water and attention to the weather, and it is best to set out in the morning.
